Head of R&D at Mathpresso(QANDA) Vietnam

As an education and tech company, QANDA aims to be the most innovative company in education Industry. 

We have been building our brand and user base in Vietnam since 2019 and now QANDA has more than 2.4 million monthly active users. With this user base, we are exploring multiple business opportunities. While this effort will have short to medium term effect, we are also preparing our long term innovation through extensive research on education service and business.

We are looking for some of the best talent to build and lead R&D organization that will be independently run in Vietnam.

Job Description

This person will be the first member of R&D organization.

The role will be combination of research and development together with commercializing the innovation

Academic approach and business acumen is required.

1. Build the top talented R&D team

The candidate will have the ability to recruit the best talents in education field

The candidate will organize the teams to achieve goals

2. Set R&D goals and roadmap

Based on the company’s business goal, the candidate will draw a roadmap of research items

The candidate will be monitoring their progress and manage results

3. Commercialize the innovation and research result

Interact with business organizations to commercialize R&D results

Benchmark global business cases to implement it from the beginning of research stage

4. Build Networks with education stakeholders

Interact with education stakeholders such as officials from Ministry of Education, teachers, academics 

Leverage the network to enhance QANDA’s brand power

Basic Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in 1)academia or in 2) business or in 3)R&D
• Minimum of Master’s degree is required. PhD would be preferred
• Worked or studied abroad
• Fluent in English

Preferred Requirements

• Having an education business experience would help to lead commercialization
• Understanding of foreign advanced education market would be a plus
• Having established network with education sector stakeholder will give initial boost
• Someone who can identify good talents readily would make us establish the team faster
